As a future physician, Jourdan is grateful for her diverse experiences at Sewanee, from serving as captain of the track and field team to splitting time between Walsh-Ellet and Woods as a religion major and chemistry minor.  She firmly believes that each of these experiences will make her a physician who is more than just a “rat in the race.”  Jourdan has not yet chosen her medical specialty, but is interested in pursuing a career as an OB/GYN or neonatologist.  When she is not studying, Jourdan volunteers at many local clinics, including the BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic, a student-run clinic where she acts as Operations Coordinator.  She lives in Tampa and is happy to be near her parents and childhood home in Florida.
