Visiting Instructor of Cello

Kaitlyn Vest has taught and performed throughout the U.S., China, and Indonesia. A section cellist with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, she also plays with Nashville Opera Orchestra, Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, Memphis Symphony, and other regional ensembles. In her exploration of non-traditional music settings, Kaitlyn performs with Nashville-based new music ensembles Intersection and Chatterbird.
Ms. Vest is the Visiting Instructor of Cello and Bass at Sewanee: The University of the South. In addition, she is the Adjunct Cello Instructor at UT Chattanooga, a faculty teaching artist at Bay View Music Festival, and previously the Chamber Music Coordinator for the String Academy at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.
Ms. Vest received her Bachelor’s from the University of Memphis, and her Master of Music from Carnegie Mellon University with Anne Martindale Williams.
