Babson Center for Global Commerce

At Sewanee, we believe the best preparation for a career in business is a broad-based liberal arts education. Many of today’s leaders in commerce attribute their success to the critical thinking, writing instruction, speaking skills, and study of the human experience they received during a college education grounded in the liberal arts tradition.

Center for Teaching

The Center for Teaching strives to provide time and space for collegial conversations and critical reflections about pedagogy, opportunities for faculty development, and access to resources on effective teaching and learning for faculty at all levels and career stages.

Office of Civic Engagement

Civic engagement is a commitment to active collaboration wherein individuals participate in transformational learning that is both life enriching and socially beneficial in the context of the global community.

Office of Global Citizenship

The Office of Global Citizenship is dedicated to promoting activities that link Sewanee with the rest of the world and training students to address global problems. As part of that effort, we strive to cultivate global citizens in our community who can effectively engage across boundaries–linguistic, cultural, class, and religious–and respond to challenges facing the world.

Office of Undergraduate Research

Sewanee is a recognized leader in undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative work across all academic programs. Faculty members integrate original research and scholarship into the classroom and encourage their students to join them in extensive exploration of original work during the academic year and in the summer. In the process, students enhance their knowledge, hone their skills, and improve their postgraduate prospects.
