Professor Chinchilla received his Ph. D. from The University of Michigan in 2009. He has published research on the relationship between literature and social movements in contemporary Mexico. He is currently working on a comparative study of Latin America, Spain, and Italy, that uses the notion of transnational culture to study precarity, globalization and migration.
