Graduating with his law degree in 1987 (and also formally receiving his Master’s degree that same year), Robert moved to Atlanta to practice construction law. He was with the firm of Alston & Bird in Atlanta before joining the firm of DLA Piper as a partner in 2007 and is currently Team Leader of the Real Estate Practice Group in the Atlanta office. Robert is currently listed in Best Lawyers in America in construction law, and as a leading practitioner in construction law by Chambers Partners. Robert married the former Tami Etheredge in 1988 and has three daughters, Kathryn Claire, Margaret, and Mary Holt. Currently, Robert continues his passion for golf, wine, and American antiques when he is allowed free time outside of work and raising his three girls.
