Dr. Heidi Siegrist holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia, an M.F.A from Sewanee, and a B.A in Psychology from the University of Chicago. Her area of focus is contemporary American literature, and she is the author of All Y’all: Queering Southernness in U.S. Fiction 1980-2020 (UNC Press, 2024). In addition to teaching, she serves as the director for the Sewanee Young Writers Conference. She is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, and she enjoys swimming and playing complicated board games.
