Dr. Heidi Siegrist holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia, an M.F.A from Sewanee, and a B.A in Psychology from the University of Chicago. Her area of focus is contemporary American literature, and her monograph All Y’all: Queering Southernness in U.S. Fiction 1980-2020 is forthcoming from UNC Press. In addition to teaching, she serves as the interim director for the Sewanee Young Writers Conference. She is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, and she enjoys swimming and playing complicated board games.
