Ways to Give

Online gifts

Sewanee has set up an easy and secure way to make a gift online. When visiting this site, please consider checking the box for a recurring gift. Setting up a recurring gift is easy, and it assures Sewanee's enduring strength.

Send a Check

If you wish to make your contribution by check, send it to:

The University of the South
University Relations
Advancement Services
735 University Avenue
Sewanee, TN 37383

NOTE: Be sure to designate your gift to the Sewanee Fund or other purpose on the memo line.

IRA Giving

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), also known as IRA Charitable Rollovers, are the savviest way for individuals age 70.5 or older to use their IRAs to maximize their charitable impact.

Planned Giving

Planned giving helps you meet your personal financial and estate planning goals by making a lifetime or charitable gift.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match gifts to charitable institutions. Visit the link below to find out if your company participates in a matching gift program, or check with your company's human resources department to obtain the appropriate paperwork.

Gifts of Stock

Many donors wish to make gifts of stock as such gifts often have tax advantages. The University of the South has partnered with DonateStock.com to enable our supporters to make stock donations in 10 minutes or less. Our DonateStock page enables you to donate stock from your brokerage directly to our account through a secure portal, making the gifting process fast, safe, and easy. To discuss a stock gift, please contact us at stockgift@sewanee.edu or call 931.598.1641.

Payroll Deduction

Sewanee employees can make a recurring gift that allows you to spread out your charitable contribution over time by setting up a payroll deduction. Payroll deduction is an easy way to make a big impact on the institution.
