Summer Send-Offs

Each summer, Sewanee families across the country host Summer Send-Offs—gatherings that connect new and returning students before the school year begins. These events offer incoming students a chance to meet classmates, ask questions, and hear from current families about life on the Mountain. Join us for a summer send-off in your area!

Annual Events

The Benefactors' Brunch

Connecting benefactors with those whose Sewanee experiences have been enhanced by donors’ generous contributions.
Held annually on the first Saturday in December during Lessons and Carols weekend, the Benefactors' Brunch is a special gathering to honor and thank our donors whose generosity directly benefits our students through scholarships, internships, and other meaningful forms of student support.

The Order of the Purple, Charlotte Manigault Society, and Sewanee Fund and Reunion Volunteer Breakfast

Hosted annually over Homecoming Weekend, this special gathering celebrates the generosity and commitment of members of the Charlotte Manigault Society and Order of the Purple members who are new to these societies, are in reunion years, or who live nearby and are likely to join us for Homecoming Weekend. We also celebrate the dedication of our Sewanee Fund & reunion volunteers, whose time, leadership, and generosity strengthen the University in countless ways. For more information about the Order of the Purple and the Charlotte Manigault Society, please refer to the links below!

The 1858 Annual Giving Societies and 25 Years of Giving Event

Held during Homecoming Weekend, this special event celebrates the generosity and dedication of Sewanee's most committed supporters. The gathering honors members of the 1858 Annual Giving Societies as well as those university donors with 25 Years of Giving to Sewanee. This event provides a meaningful opportunity to celebrate those whose annual giving exemplifies leadership and consistency. By bringing together these dedicated members of the Sewanee community, we express our deep gratitude for their lasting impact on the University.
