Annual Giving societies (1858 giving societies)
Sewanee’s 1858 Annual Giving Societies represent five levels of giving in which donors have demonstrated exemplary generosity. This group of societies includes:

Lifetime giving societies
Sewanee’s Lifetime Giving Societies include three societies in which donors have demonstrated a sustained commitment to Sewanee over time:
Never-Failing Succession of Benefactors | Individuals whose lifetime giving through outright gifts and/or the present tax value of irrevocable deferred gifts has reached the level of $1.5 million |
Order of the Purple |
Individuals whose lifetime giving through outright gifts and/or the present tax value of irrevocable deferred gifts has reached the level of $100,000 There are four levels of recognition: Bronze—recognizes total giving of at least $100,000 Silver—recognizes total giving of at least $250,000 Gold—recognizes total giving of at least $500,000 Crystal—recognizes total giving of at least $1,000,000 |
