Applying to Sewanee
DACA and undocumented students will follow the applicant type that matches their schooling: first-year, transfer, or homeschool.
DACA and undocumented students are able to apply to Sewanee, with access to our full range of academic scholarships.
The Office of Admission at Sewanee is committed to providing access to higher education for everyone. We strive to support scholars and recruit students from a variety of backgrounds. Every application of a DACA or undocumented student is reviewed based on the applicant type (first-year, homeschool, or transfer) of the student applying. Our admission counselors give every application the same individualized attention to ensure that we are taking all of your experiences into consideration, not just your academic transcript, test scores (optional), or your extracurriculars.
As a Sewanee applicant, you will be automatically considered for all of our academic scholarships. All DACA and undocumented student applying for need-based aid will need to submit the CSS Profile. If Sewanee is the right place for you, be sure to pay attention to our application deadlines, keep track of your applicant status page, and stay in touch with your admission counselor. We want to hear from you and learn about what makes you great!

Sewanee is here to support you as we support all of our students. You will find a variety of campus offices that you can turn to for the support during your time on the Domain.
Sewanee provides funding for an approved summer internship or research fellowship, a semester-long study abroad opportunity at no additional tuition cost, and the ability to graduate with one major in four years. Of course, you will have to do your part. If you meet Sewanee’s academic and social expectations, these opportunities will be provided.
Our small classes mean that your voice will be heard, your contribution will be expected, and your opinion will be listened to (and disagreed with, and challenged, and seen from a different perspective, and pushed in a new direction, and considered—and you know what? Maybe we’re both right. See how it works?).
We're a community where everyone has a place and there's a place for everyone. Group study? We'll bring our notes. Rock climbing? We're geared up and ready. Jam session? Sure, we'll play with you. Whatever you want to do, at Sewanee, you'll never have to go it alone. Unless you need your space. Then, we totally get it.
