The Andrew Nelson Lytle Award was established to honor Andrew Lytle’s contributions to American Literature as novelist, critic and man of letters, and to Sewanee as professor of English and editor of the Sewanee Review. Awarded annually to a graduating senior for academic excellence. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated knowledge and appreciated of the literature and history of the American south.
