Shelley MacLaren

Director of the University Art Gallery and Curator of Academic Engagement

Dr. Shelley MacLaren is the Director and Curator of Academic Engagement of the University Art Gallery. She teaches in Art, Art History, and Visual Studies (Modern and Postmodern Architecture, Italian Medieval Cities, and Italian Renaissance Art), and in the interdisciplinary Humanities program (Imitation, Quotation, Appropriation, and Genre, and others). She has frequently presented on campus art, architecture and monuments, including public lectures on Sewanee's portraits and the narthex windows of All Saints' Chapel.
