There are times when individuals may wish to get a copy of their student conduct history. Review the information below to request a copy of your conduct record depending upon your specific needs.

Requesting Conduct History

Current Students

Currently enrolled, undergraduate students can request their conduct history by completing the online form.

External Requests

There are times when students and alumni need their records released to external parties such as graduate schools, state bar associations, and other background check processes. In these cases, the student or alumni should complete the documentation provided by the external party including completing the appropriate release and have it sent to the Dean of Students' Office at dstudent@sewanee.edu.

The University only reports on conduct matters to outside agencies where outcomes of Removal from Student Housing, Suspension, or Expulsion were assigned.

Departmental Requests

Background

The Offices of Community Standards, Dean of the College, and Equity, Equal Opportunity, and Title IX follow a standard procedure for providing verification of a student’s standing to internal departments. These requests are generally related to a student’s participation in a University sponsored program or activity including leadership roles and study away programs.

Procedures

Submit a request to communitystandards@sewanee.edu including:

  • Purpose of the request
  • Indication of which offices you would like to verify standing with - Community Standards, Honor Council, and/or Equity, Equal Opportunity, & Title IX
  • Copy of the documentation or policy where students confirmed their release of records to the program (ex. application, program policy, etc.)
  • Spreadsheet with student first name, last name, and Banner ID
  • Preferred deadline for the information

Good Standing Definitions

Each department will confirm whether or not the student(s) is considered in good standing. Good standing is defined differently by each department as follows:

  • Community Standards - not currently on Institutional Probation or Suspension
  • Equity, Equal Opportunity, & Title IX - no outstanding sanctions or findings of responsibility
  • Honor Council - not on Honor Probation
