12:00pm-1:00pm
Center for Teaching (duPont 2nd floor)
Susanna will showcase her effective use of teaching language and culture in the context of digitalized Soviet children’s literature. She will share her approaches to designing student assignments, which are inspired by her previous work on a Digital Humanities (DH) project designed for using historical Soviet literature in the classroom.
Digital resources and other technology available on the Internet (e.g., Thinglink and digital programs for making subtitles to various media) presented at this talk-and-share may be useful for promoting active learning in courses in culture, literature, arts, history, and translation, allowing for students’ creative contributions to open-access digital libraries.
