Meeting with your Staff

Collaborative Reviews

The primary purpose of a collaborative review is for the staff member and their direct supervisor to reflect on previous goals and set objectives for the upcoming year. The primary goal is to focus on the ongoing development of the staff member and for the supervisor to play an active role in this journey.

Addressing Difficult Situations

Disciplinary Issues

As a supervisor, you are expected to understand department and university policies and procedures, document conversations, set and communicate expectations for employees, hold employees accountable for conduct, and model desired conduct.
Human Resources is available to assist supervisors in assessing the situation, ensure compliance with policies and coach managers in having conversations with employees.
