Joy Carolina Waterman ("Carolina") was born October 12, 2024, to Jessica and Doug Waterman, C'02, of Franklin, Tenn. She joins big brother Canon (2) and big sisters Jewel (7) and Rivers (9).

Helen Wiersma-Koch, C'04, started a new position as an Academic Dean at Central Oregon Community College. She looks forward to integrating into the community in Bend, making a positive impact at COCC, and connecting with any Sewanee alumni in the area!

Josh Curtis C'07 and Sinclair (McCary) Curtis C'08 welcomed their fourth child, Wills McCary Curtis, on Jan. 26, 2024.

Jay Sprouse C'07 is working on producing new music, since his first EP, which was recorded in 2009 with fellow alumni has gained some traction. You can find Jay's music on streaming platforms.

Jack Thomas (formerly Jack Wyrick), C'10,  founded WorkPlay Learning Design, in January 2024, a concierge LXD (learning experience design) firm. WorkPlay offers consulting and design + build services for corporate and nonprofit internal training; for-profit learning/training products; client, constituent, and/or patient education; and more. WorkPlay currently serves tech startups, health & wellness consultants, financial professionals, executive coaches, state governments, politicians, nonprofits, and content creators.
