The Annual Campus Gallery Walk brings together art, music, and dance, and gives our students an exciting opportunity to experiment, perform, and reach new audiences. This year, our remarkable students responded to the restrictions required by the pandemic with creativity and resilience, producing performances to be shared with remote audiences.

In the fall semester, multiple singers and dancers took advantage of the stage provided by Wendy Ewald's exhibition of photographs, This Is Where I Live. Adelle Dennis, Emma Ross-Sermons, Sarah Hall, Helen Deakle, Robin Kate Davis, and Amelia Gauthreaux danced to Sabreen’s On Man. Peggy Owusu-Ansah's sang "The Human Heart" from Once on this Island; Gabe Rice "The Heart Worships" by Gustav Holst; and Kelsey Jenks' "My House" from Matilda: The Musical. All of these performances are available on BrightSpace for faculty, staff, and students. To find them, log in to BrightSpace, choose DISCOVER in the Navbar and self-enroll in the University Art Gallery course. The performances are available under Content.

In the spring of 2021, the honors thesis exhibitions of four senior art majors have provided the stage for filmed dance performances, scored by student musicians. Cecile Denton's my tongue is frozen in silence frames dancer Adelle Dennis, and Jasmine Huang's Tian Tang provides a stage for Gina Jeffreys, Sarah Hall, Nellie Bowers,  and Emma Ross-Sermons. Both performances scored by William Hargrave. Kara Adams' Down Yonder provides a stage for Sarah Hall, Lily Oakley, and Katie Sweeton, and Bailey Stevens' The Obscured Finish Line: Once More the Fool inspires Taela Bland and J.T. Michel. Both of these performances are scored by William Hitel.

Our sincere thanks to all of our student artists, musicians, and dancers, especially Emma Ross-Sermons, to professors Kerry Ginger, Courtney World, and Prakash Wright, and to videographer David Syler.
