The text mining and visualization tools on this page pull from texts that the user uploads themselves.

Voyant

Voyant is a free, web-based tool that analyzes and visualizes text uploaded by users. Users can add texts by pasting a link, entering is directly into the text box, or uploading a document in formats like plain text, HTML, RTF, and MS Word. Voyant's algorithms count word frequency in the uploaded text(s) to generate word clouds, bar graphs, line graphs, and scatter plots visualizing the most frequent words and their locations. Network maps and keywords in context tables visualize the context of keywords, helping users analyze and relationships. Images of some visualizations can be exported as PNG files.

Lexos

Lexos is a free, web-based tool for analyzing and visualizing texts through computation and statistical methods. It can be used online or downloaded locally for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. Users can upload texts as TXT, Unicode, SMYL, HTML, or XML files, or input a URL to scrape text from a website. Lexos pre-processes texts by cleaning, tagging, and tokenizing it to make it searchable. With Lexos, users can run statistical analyses programs for z-score analysis, cosine similarity ranking, basic document statics, hierarchical and k-muster cluster. It can visualize analysis as bubble clouds, comparative "multiclouds," rolling windows, line graphs, PCA plots, voronoi cells, and dendrogram graphs. Visualizations can be exported as PNG or SVG files.

AntConc

AntConc is a free text analysis tool that uses computational and statistical method that can be downloaded on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Users can upload text in CVS, TSV, XML, or HTML formats. Analysis and Visualization tools provide through AntConc (including keyword in context, PHT, file view, cluster, n-gram, collocate, keyword list, word clouds, and plot tool) give users a variety of ways to search and map context and language trends. Tables and lists generated with AntConc can be exported as CVS, TSV, or ANT files.
