This three-day workshop delves into portrait photography, combining instruction, discussion, hands-on practice, and peer feedback to explore how portraits reveal deeper truths about the human experience. Participants will study and learn how these images transcend visual representation, inviting reflection and engagement beyond the moment captured.
Through the creation of a portrait portfolio and group critiques, participants will develop both technical skills and a deeper appreciation of the social and emotional dimensions of portraiture. By conclusion of the masterclass, you will understand how portraits shape perceptions and inspire connection beyond the frame!
Masterclass to be held March 22-24 at the Leu Center for the Visual Arts with image printing materials provided. Participants should plan to attend all three days during the designated meeting time of 9:00AM – 4:00PM.
There are limited spots available for this opportunity. 7 seats are available to students and 7 seats to community members with waitlists for both. Register to secure your spot now!
This Creative Professionals Masterclass is presented by the Watkins College of Art at Belmont University and made possible through grant funding provided by the Tennessee Arts Commission.
