The staff of All Saints’ Chapel has always been committed to fostering an environment that is welcoming to all people. This remains our deepest commitment during this time when students are completing their studies online and the whole community is responding to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping across our country. Please pay close attention to the box below noted “services.” We continue to make changes as we offer resources for worship, formation and care.

Vision
A loving community built on gratitude, wellness, and hope in communion with God.
Mission
To promote spiritual wellness in our community through worship, love, and service.

All Saints' Chapel

All Saints' Chapel, located at the center of the campus, offers students a variety of programs for exploring religious faith and serving others. The Chapel also serves as our formal gathering space for Convocations, Commencement and other celebrations. Being centrally located is not coincidental, but an expression of Sewanee's identity as an Episcopal university.

Ministry and Internship Funding

Thanks to a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., All Saints' Chapel, in partnership with the Office of Career & Leadership Development (CLD), sponsors summer internships for students interested in exploring vocations in service. Ministry & Service funding is reserved for up to 16 Sewanee students per summer who are interested in exploring ordained ministry, non-profit work, or other callings that embrace service as a way of life.

Study and Practice of Theology

The School of Theology is a leader in Episcopal education that prepares priests and lay leaders for ministry. Its academic, worship and community life is characterized by intentional commitment to the mission of the Church, especially through Christian education and formation and to the Church's call to social justice. Students of the College have the opportunity to study in departments such as Philosophy and Religion and the Environment.
