High Garst T'28

High is a second-year seminary student and a Postulant for Holy Orders in the Diocese of the Susquehanna (PA). High lives in Smith Hall and loves connecting with students as a Catechumenate group leader, a firefighter on the Sewanee Volunteer Fire Department, and by being present on campus throughout the school year. High loves spending time on the trails in Sewanee, eating McClurg dinner, and exercising with the Seminary workout group, the "Theo-legs."

Jacob Hall T'27

Jacob is a senior Master of Divinity student in the School of Theology and Candidate for Holy Orders from the Diocese of West Virginia. He is excited to serve as Chaplain-in-Residence this year, living in Humphreys Hall. Born and raised in rural West Virginia, Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts from Marshall University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Religious Studies and Music. Before coming to Sewanee, he participated in the Episcopal Service Corps, where he served in a variety of lay ministries at a parish in Philadelphia, PA. In his free time, he enjoys making music, trying new recipes, and spending too much time reading books that aren’t assigned for class.

Joshua Maria Garcia, T'28

Joshua Maria Garcia T'28 originally hails from southeastern Massachusetts, but is an aspirant to the priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana. JMG is a published author, B-list social media personality, and speaks English, Spanish, and Hebrew. They love nature, making and praying the Rosary, and helping others find their spiritual footing. Despite being ancient, JMG does remember what it was like to live in a college dorm. You will find them at COTA, Stirling's, or foraging greens in the woods.
