SCCS ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2005

DATES: SCSS will meet April 14, 15, 16, 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee. These dates will assure beautiful springtime weather (and also avoid the NCAA basketball tournament at the end of March, as well as religious holidays in March and April).
LOCATION: We will meet in the Doubletree Hotel
located within walking distance of many downtown attractions, including shopping, restaurants, and music venues.

RATES: We have negotiated an excellent room rate of $99 for a single and $109 for a double room. In either case a full buffet breakfast (not just continental breakfast) is included.
MEETINGS: We have reserved 5 breakout rooms for each time-slot on the program.
RECEPTIONS: The Thursday night reception and Friday night banquet will be held in the Tennessee Ballroom.
CONVENIENCE: Nashville is served by Southwest Airlines, Delta, US Air, American, and several other carriers. The city is easily reached by interstate: I-24, I-40, I-65.

FROM NASHVILLE INT'L AIRPORT:7.5 Miles. Take I-40 West toward Memphis. Exit at Charlotte Street. Go to the 3rd light and turn right onto Charlotte Avenue. Continue on Charlotte to 4th Avenue. Turn right and go one block. The hotel will be on the right.
Transportation: Downtown Grayline Airport Express leaves every 15 minutes from 6:00 am-11:00 pm Cost: $18.00 Round-trip/$12.00 One-Way. Tickets are available one level below baggage claim at the airport. Taxi available 24 hours a day - Approximately $20.00 One-Way
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
FROM MEMPHIS - Take I-40 East to Nashville. Exit at the Charlotte Ave/Downtown exit. Turn Left at the light, continue on Charlotte to 4th Ave. Turn Right. The Doubletree is one block up on your right at 4th and Deaderick.
FROM CHATTANOOGA - Take I-24 West towards Nashville. Pick up I-40 West to Nashville. Take the Church St./Charlotte Ave. Exit. Go to the 3rd light (Charlotte Ave.) and turn Right. Continue on Charlotte until you reach 4th Ave. Turn Right. The Doubletree will be one block up on the right at 4th and Deaderick.
FROM THE NORTH - Take I-65 South to I-24 East to downtown. Exit at James Robertson Parkway - State Capitol Exit. Turn Right at the first light, then stay straight to 3rd Avenue (at the 2nd light). Turn Left. Go one block to the next light and turn Right onto Deaderick. The Doubletree will be one block up on the corner of 4th and Deaderick.
FROM THE SOUTH (Birmingham) - Take I-65 North towards Nashville and pick up I-40 West to Memphis. Exit at the Church St.-Charlotte Ave Exit. Go to the 3rd light and turn right on to Charlotte Avenue. The Doubletree will be one block up on your right at 4th and Deaderick.
