Member Duties : The Economic Mobility Intake and Program coordinator will be tasked with outreach, intake, scheduling, and some deployment of BetterFi's various financial assistance, financial inclusion, and economic mobility programs. Outreach will involve identifying and engaging with community stakeholders and potential program partners to develop intake pipelines for BetterFi's programs; intake will involve assisting individuals or organizations in navigating and completing applications for assistance with regard to BetterFi's programs; scheduling will involve scheduling free income tax assistance sessions or other financial assistance sessions, and deployment will involve leading classes or individuals in financial coaching programming.

2. Diabetes Education Specialist & Uninsured Patient Coordinator, 11/01/2022 - 12/31/2023
Member Duties : Diabetes Education Specialist & Uninsured Patient Coordinator's purpose is to help establish and implement individual diabetes counseling for rural diabetic patients and gather information and data relevant to patients' health index and insurance status. This position will attend diabetes education training to gain the knowledge needed to complete the other duties. This position will interview rural diabetic patients before they leave the office to assess their dietary preferences. Then, they will utilize the UT Extension office's diabetic-friendly recipe database and other cookbooks to locate recipes with those items or find good substitutions. Then, they will make a collection of recipe cards customized for the patient in a recipe box. The service member will also complete intake interviews regarding the participants' uninsured status, refer patients to resources, and write short narratives regarding the extenuating effects of an uninsured status.

3. Growing Roots/SeTN Young Farmers: Community Garden and Farm Coordinator 10/21/2022 - 12/31/2023
Member Duties : Growing Roots/SeTN Young Farmers: Community Garden and Farm Coordinator position will support the efforts of community partners to increase food access and community wellness. Accomplished through activities and programming, including holistic community wellness workshops and classes, small-scale garden programming, direct food distribution, youth gardening support, and garden-based community infrastructure. This position will work to promote, plan, and occasionally lead food access and community wellness programming and will contribute significantly to overall public-facing communication efforts for the organization. This person will additionally work alongside volunteers and staff on general community garden care and maintenance. The Coordinator will also work to serve the local farming community through gathering stories, event promotion, and other forms of communication.
