The Alumni Arcadians program harnesses the energy and enthusiasm of our talented and diverse alumni to attract Sewanee students of the highest caliber. Volunteers create meaningful connections between prospective students and alumni while also directly impacting the future of the University.

Become a Member

Getting involved as an Alumni Arcadian is easy, and new members are always welcome! Alumni Arcadians partner with the Office of Admission in a variety of ways including representing Sewanee at college fairs, participating in one of our admitted student calling campaigns, meeting with and writing notes to prospective students, or attending or hosting an Admission reception.

Ways to Engage

Calling Campaign

Each year, dedicated Alumni Arcadians call high school seniors who have been admitted to Sewanee. These conversations add an invaluable personal touch to our admitted students' Sewanee experiences.

Cover a College Fair

College fairs offer an excellent opportunity for students and their families to meet a variety of college representatives. There are often cases in which our admission counselors have scheduling conflicts and cannot attend an important fair. In these cases, we request that an Alumni Arcadian attend the fair as our alumni representative.

Recommend a Student

We welcome your student recommendations! If you’re in touch with a prospective Sewanee student, please let the Office of Admission know. We will add the student to our mailing list, send along our Field Guide, and encourage the student to come by for a visit!
