Will Matson, C'12

The Babson Center for Global Commerce welcomes Bryan Viewpoints speaker-in-residence Will Matson, C’12, the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Apex Service Partners, on Wednesday, September 24, 2026, 4:30 pm, in the duPont Torian Room. Please join us for a discussion on “Beyond the Mountain: An Entrepreneur and CEO's Journey”. This event is presented in collaboration with the Department of Economics and Finance.

Apex Service Partners is the nation's largest residential service company focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions. With over 13,000 employees operating in 46 states and annual revenue exceeding $3 billion, the company draws on its industry experience and expertise to provide high-quality service to its customers. Before joining Apex Service Partners in 2019, Matson built a career from investment banking to private equity and management consulting. He spent over five years at J.P. Morgan (2012–2017), working in Investment Strategy in New York before moving to the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions team in London. In 2018, he worked in private equity at Access Holdings before joining McKinsey & Company as a management consultant. Since 2019, he has served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Apex Service Partners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. 

Matson graduated from Sewanee with a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics with a Minor in Religion. During college, he participated in multiple study abroad trips to Southeast Asia with Professor Mohiuddin. Following graduation, he was awarded a Fulbright grant to go back and teach English in Bangladesh. However, the State Department was unsure if students would be sent back that year due to safety concerns. He later earned an MBA from the Wharton School and a Master in Law from the University of Pennsylvania. Matson credits his time at Sewanee with shaping the relationships and perspective that have guided his career. His close relationships with professors and classmates, along with his involvement in ATO, the Interfraternity Council, and the Red Ribbon Society, strengthened his ability to build community, lead collaboratively, and engage with people. He has carried those lessons into his professional life, using the adaptability fostered at Sewanee to navigate new challenges and lead Apex Service Partners through rapid growth.
