Elizabeth Bowman

Elizabeth Bowman comes to Sewanee from College Grove, Tennessee and is considering studying English with a minor in business. She has a passion for marketing and served as one of the Babson Center’s 2025-2026 marketing interns. Elizabeth plays for Sewanee's golf team and previously worked as a swing coach at the Golf House of Tennessee for Junior Golfers. When not golfing or working with the Carey Fellows, she is an active member of the Theta Phi sorority and enjoys both reading and traveling.

Thomas Hershey

Thomas Hersey is from Charleston, South Carolina and hopes to major in finance and minor in business. When not involved with Carey Fellow programming, Thomas serves as an active member of the Green’s View Capital student investment club, the Sewanee Fly Fishing Club, Phi Society of 1883, and enjoys basketball, golf, hiking, and fishing.

Josey King

From Rye, New York, Josey King joins the Carey Fellows with the hopes of majoring in finance. Josey has previously worked in food service and as a lifeguard for the Westchester Country Club. On campus, she plays for Sewanee’s varsity volleyball team and serves as an active member of the Green’s View Capital student investment club and the Phi Kappa Epsilon sorority. When not working on projects with the Carey Fellows, she enjoys hiking, travel, shooting, playing guitar, and watching movies.

Mason Pruitt

Mason Pruitt comes to Sewanee from Atlanta, Georgia and is considering a major in finance. He has served as a caddie for the Cherokee Country Club at Atlanta and founded a lawn care business in Sewanee. In addition to his work with the Carey Fellows, Mason is an active member of the tennis club, the Green’s View Capital student investment club, and the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. His interests include cartography, golf, running, climbing, and honing his Spanish speaking abilities.

Jackson Pullmann

From San Antonio, Texas, Jackson Pullmann comes to the Sewanee community to study economics and data science. He has previous experience as a door to door canvasser for Alamo Roofing and work as a camp counselor at the San Antonio Academy. On campus, Jackson serves as a member of the tennis and volleyball clubs as well as the cycling team. His passions include mountain biking, skiing, soccer, tennis, math and economics, and he regularly participates in triathlons.

Colin Tanner

Colin Tanner grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and is interested in pursuing a degree in economics with a focus on consulting and marketing. His diverse professional experiences include serving as a waiter, a church nursery caregiver, a youth sports referee, and event staff for his local recreation department. On campus, Colin participates in club tennis, the Green’s View Capital student investment club, Cru Youth Ministry, and the Sewanee Consulting Club. His interests include pickleball, reading, music, and Russian. 

Mary Blair Tankard

Mary Blair Tankard attends Sewanee from Staunton, Virginia as an environmental studies major with an interest in management and product development. Prior to attending the University of the South, Mary served as a seasonal inspector for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), a sales associate for At Altitude Art Gallery, and as staff for her family’s nursery. She is a member of Sewanee’s varsity field hockey team, Sewanee Consulting Club, and enjoys travel, music, drawing, and boating.

Graham Webb

From Suffolk, Virginia, Graham Webb joins the Carey Fellows hoping to major in finance. At Sewanee, he is an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity and the Sewanee Fly Fishing Club. He previously served as a summer intern for Colonna’s Shipyard and worked as a farmhand. Graham enjoys hunting, fishing, sports, and other outdoor activities.
