Scott Busey

Scott Busey is from Jacksonville, Florida. He majors in finance and minors in Spanish and business. During his Carey Fellow internship, Scott worked in corporate strategy at Milliken & Co. in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He also has work experience at the Sadler Point Marine Center and coaching at the Florida Yacht Club. He likewise holds USCG Merchant Mariner credentials. On campus, Scott is a member of the Order of the Gown, the Prescribed Fire Team, and the rugby team. He also leads the sailing club and enjoys both hunting and fishing. This summer, Scott plans to hike the Camino de Santiago before attending a session at the London School of Economics.

Savannah Gann

Savannah Gann is from Hoover, Alabama. She majors in international and global studies with a minor in business. For her Carey Fellow internship, Savannah worked as a Sports Licensing Analyst at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in Atlanta, Georgia. She also has work experience at Canyon Eatery in Yellowstone and Trader Joe’s in Birmingham, Alabama. On campus, Savannah is active in the Order of the Gown, Green’s View Capital student investment club, Sewanee Consulting Club, and the Sewanee Women in Finance, Business, and Economics Society. She is also a member of the varsity volleyball team and the Theta Kappa Phi sorority. Savannah enjoys reading, travel, and hiking. This summer, she will attend sessions at the London School of Economics.

Jawaria Jaleel

Jawaria Jaleel is from Hassan Abdal, Pakistan. She is a double major in politics and economics with a minor in business. During her Carey Fellow internship, Jawaria worked as a Data Analyst for HeritageWerks in Duluth, Georgia. She has previous experience as a research assistant with Sewanee’s Department of Economics, a data analyst for DataLab, a language instructor for the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange Study program, and a campus barista. Jawaria is a member of the Order of the Gown and the Environmental, Social & Governance board. She serves as a Bonner Leader, a Global Arcadian, and she enjoys reading, writing, and painting. This summer, Jawaria will continue her work at HeritageWerks after attending the Dynamics of Asian Business trip to Singapore and Vietnam.

Logan Johnson

Logan Johnson is from Dallas, Texas. He majors in economics and minors in business. For his Carey Fellow internship, Logan worked in business development with Coca-Cola United in Birmingham, Alabama. He also has work experience caddying at Preston Trail Golf Club and Maridoe Golf Club. At Sewanee, Logan is a member of the Order of the Gown, the Green's View Capital student investment club, and the president of Sewanee for St. Jude. He also plays varsity golf and has earned a spot on the SAA All-Conference golf team. Logan is part of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and enjoys bass fishing, playing guitar, and cooking. This summer, he may extend his internship with Coca-Cola remotely while working at The Course at Sewanee.

Maria Kennedy

Maria Kennedy is from Johns Creek, Georgia. She majors in international and global studies and minors in business. During her Carey Fellow internship, Maria served as a PR Account Support Specialist with Great Scott PR in Denver, Colorado. Maria has previously worked as a camp counselor and assistant coach for the Marist School and Intensity Volleyball Club. On campus, she is a member of the Order of the Gown, the Green’s View Capital student investment club, Sewanee Consulting Club, and the Sewanee Women in Finance, Business, and Economics Society. She is also a member of the varsity volleyball team, CRU Youth Ministry, and Theta Kappa Phi sorority. Her hobbies include travel, drawing, and Spanish. This summer, Maria is slated to intern remotely with a Seattle-based healthcare sales company.

Eric Lin

Eric Lin is from Springfield, Virginia. He majors in computer science and minors in business. For his Carey Fellow internship, Eric worked in process improvement at Mansfield Oil Company in Gainesville, Georgia. He also completed a software engineering fellowship with Headstarter AI and Foundations of Real Estate certification with Urban Land Institute. On campus, Eric is a member of Order of the Gown, Green’s View Capital student investment club, Sewanee Computing Society, Sewanee Consulting Club, and the Real Estate Cohort. Eric is also a Posse Scholar/Mentor and works as a barista. He enjoys volleyball, fencing, and cooking. This summer, Eric will work with Fidelity Investments in Kentucky. 

Max Miller

Max Miller is from San Carlos, California. He majors in economics and minors in business. For his Carey Fellow internship, Max worked as an analyst at Shelter Rock Capital Group in New York, New York. At Sewanee, Max is a member of the Order of the Gown, the Green’s View Capital student investment club, and the Commercial Real Estate Cohort. He is the current CEO of Tiger Student Ventures. Likewise, Max serves as a Sewanee Angel and is part of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He enjoys hiking, music, and working toward his California Salesperson License. This summer, Max will work at an investment firm in Dallas, Texas. 

Grace Whitley Olson

Grace Whitley Olson is from Nashville, Tennessee. She is a double major in politics and environment and sustainability with a minor in business. For her Carey Fellow internship, Grace worked as an Economic Development Intern for Arkansas-based Startup Junkie and the Conway Chamber of Commerce. Grace completed a DIS Consulting Project in Copenhagen, Denmark and attended a summer 2025 session at the London School of Economics. On campus, Grace is a Dean's List student and member of the Order of the Gown, the Green Fund, and the Sewanee Women in Finance, Business, and Economics Society, and the Kappa Delta sorority. She founded and leads the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature. She enjoys rock climbing, film, and international travel. For the summer 2026, she will intern as a sustainability officer with the Country Music Association in Nashville, TN.
