"Editing Politics" with Mike Peed

Mike Peed, a Sewanee English alumnus, was the Politics editor at The New York Times from 2023-25, and has recently moved to the Culture desk. He has previously worked at the The New Yorker. An article he wrote for that magazine on a blight destroying the world's banana crops was cited by the Best American Science and Nature Writing series. He has also edited at Men's Journal, and he began his career at National Journal, in Washington. Come hear him speak about his experience editing in an era of high stakes political journalism.
