In a roundtable format, Sewanee Professor of Religious Studies Kati Curts, non-fiction writer Jane Borden, and novelist Justin Taylor will discuss the varied ways in which they approach the idea of the cult in American society. Curts is currently working on an article about the very same cult which is one of the subjects of Taylor's recent novel, "Reboot," and Borden has just published "Cults Like Us: Why Doomsday Thinking Drives America" with Simon & Schuster. Panelists’ books will be on sale before and after the event for purchase from the University Bookstore.
