Sewanee Playwrights Showcased at Barter Theatre
Creative Writing majors, Joe Harned (playwriting) and Eleanor Yarbrough (fiction), were among six students selected for the Barter Theatre's College Playwrights Festival. Over the course of three days, the two attended a master class and at in on rehearsals for their original 10-minute plays which were then presented in a public reading with professional actors.

Professor Elyzabeth Wilder has won the prestigious Tennessee Arts Commission Fellowship. The Tennessee Arts Commission awards the Individual Artist Fellowship annually to recognize and acknowledge outstanding professional Tennessee artists who add to the state’s cultural vitality. Wilder is one of just five artists named as this year’s fellows.
