Nelnet Campus Commerce Signup

  1. To register for the online billing system go to the Nelnet Campus Commerce website and click Create a Username & Password. Enter your email address in the available field and press Next. Click the Create a New Nelnet Account button to continue your account creation.
  2. Enter all required information, including the Customer ID field. The Customer ID should be your B00XXXXXX or C00XXXXXX number, located on your monthly invoice. If you can’t find your number please contact Tara Hornbuckle in Accounts Receivable for assistance. Once you have completed entering your information press Next. 
  3. Complete the required information, including the user name which can be used to log into your account, and the Phone authentication information. The phone authentication information is used by Nelnet Campus Commerce customer service representatives as a means of security and the answers will be required when calling their hotline.  This information can be edited at any time via the My Profile tab of your account.
  4. Select Submit to complete your Nelnet Campus Commerce Signup.

Adding Additional Authorized Users 

If desired, Community members can grant access for their authorized users by logging into Nelnet Campus Commerce and selecting the Add an Authorized Party link. Once the required information has been entered into the online form an invitation will be sent to any potential new account users allowing them access. Authorized users can view statements and make payments toward the account balance. Account owners have the right to revoke this access at any time. 

 

Methods of Accepted Payment 

Please note that at this time we do not offer automatic monthly payments for our community members. Customers can contact their banking institutions and inquire into the possibility of setting it up from their personal accounts. 

Remember to review the payment deadline for all bill payments. Payments that arrive after the posted date will be subject to a late fee penalty of 1.25% of the entire balance past due per month.

 

Pay online by eCheck

You can pay online with no additional fees by using your checking account on Nelnet Campus Commerce. Enter your routing and account number when you go to finalize your payment. 

 

Pay Online Using a Credit or Debit Card

Credit and Debit card payments can only be made through the online system or by contacting Nelnet Campus Commerce during their operating hours. All card payments are subject to a processing fee of up to 2.75% by Nelnet Campus Commerce. You may opt to use the eCheck option instead if you prefer to avoid this fee. 

 

Mail-in your Payment

If you wish to pay your account balance by check, please send it by mail to the address below. Remember to include your Customer ID number, along with a signed check made payable to the University of the South for the balance due. Our mailing address is:
