Submit a work order request

Please submit your work order request via the Service Request link using your Sewanee Email ID and password when prompted. Using a series of drop-down lists, submit your request by building and room/area location. An ellipse button (the one with three dots) next to a field provides additional information. The Service Request form allows for only one request to be addressed at a time, so if you have a burned-out light in your office and the A/C isn’t working very well, you’d need to submit two requests.

  • You will need to enable pop-up windows to access Service Request on WebTMA.
  • Required fields are highlighted.

Once submitted, a request number is generated and an email will be sent to the address provided in the request. An additional confirmation with the work order number will be emailed once the request is approved.

Another submittal method is to send an email to fm@sewanee.edu. Provide as much information as you deem necessary in your e-mail but please provide the location, room number, or area, as well as a telephone number or email to contact you. You’ll receive an e-mail notification with the work order number or numbers for your reference.

If you have questions please review our Service Level Agreement or call the Work Control Supervisor at 931.598.1264 for assistance.

If there is an urgent facility issue after normal office hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., call 931.598.1264 and your call will be answered by our after-hours service. The operator will reach the proper on-call person to address the issue. Please refer to the Service Level Agreement for details.

Determine the status of an existing work order request

You can check the status of a work order by entering the work order number at the Service Request link or by emailing fm@sewanee.edu.  The Work Control Supervisor will inquire with the appropriate trade shop.  Please note that requests are managed by priority and not the date or time received.

Key Request

Generally, key requests should come through department chairs, as department budgets will be charged for this service. All key requests should contain the requester, building, room number, and account number for billing. Please note the issuance of all keys will be according to the University's Key Policy.
