For students with career goals in management, international business, consulting and finance, the designation as a Carey Fellow brings with it a mark of distinction, a stipend, and a certificate awarded at graduation recognizing the completion of additional requirements designed to prepare Fellows for leadership positions in global commerce.
This grant is awarded to a politics major or minor who demonstrates financial need.
In collaboration with the Freeman Foundation, rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors who plan to return to campus following the completion of their internship may receive financial support for an internship in one of the following locations: Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar/Burma, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. From whale watching in Indonesia to banking in Singapore, the opportunities are endless. . A background in Asian languages and cultures is not required!
These fellowships fund year-long, independent research projects in social theory or social ethics. Interested students are encouraged to design a project with a local focus.
