Committee Members
The University leaves committee consist of 5 college faculty members in a five-year staggered term. At least three members must be tenured, including the committee chair.
The University Leaves Committee collects applications and assists faculty applying for research leave / sabbatical in the coming academic year. The committee then evaluates all applications for leaves and advises the Dean of the College's office on individual leave requests.
The committee's role is to offer feedback to applicants, when necessary, to put together the most successful proposal possible to advance to the Dean. Not all proposals will receive feedback– only those that need opportunity for revision before advancing to the Dean with the committee’s recommendations. We work to ensure a thriving faculty research program.
