Residential Life oversees summer housing for all enrolled summer students and student workers. Summer housing is for current Sewanee undergraduates who are working, conducting research on campus, or enrolled in classes during the summer. Only students who complete the housing application will receive a room assignment.
HOUSING AVAILABILITY
Summer housing is available for Student Workers, DataLab Students, and Undergraduate Research Fellowship Students beginning May 16th to July 28th. Summer School Housing is available for enrolled students from June 4th to July 16th. Assignments will be made on a rolling basis beginning in early May.
HOW TO APPLY
The summer housing application will become available here on April 10th in the Student Self-Service Portal. The form is listed under "Forms & Applications" as "Summer Application 2023." Housing will be assigned based on the preferences submitted in the application, and space availability. Preference for specific amenities (e.g., air-conditioning, single rooms, etc.) is subject to availability and overall occupancy needs and can not be guaranteed.
DEADLINE TO APPLY
The Summer Housing application will be closed on Tuesday, May 30th. Late submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Move Out Information
Summer school students will have a move out date of Sunday, June 16th by 10:00pm. Student Workers, DataLab Students, and Undergraduate research fellowship students move out date in Friday, July 28th by 10:00am
SUMMER PROCTOR OPPORTUNITY
The Office of Residential Life will be accepting applications for the Proctor position for the Summer 2023 term starting on Monday, April 4th at 9am. You can access the application through this Form. The summer proctor appointment is a temporary position lasting May 16th, 2023 to July 28th, 2023. There will be a minimum of 7 proctors hired, with additional openings depending on the number of residents staying over the break. This position is not available to students who are still in their first year. Priority will be given to applicants who have served as proctors previously.

SUMMER BOARD PLAN
AVAILABLE FROM JUNE 5 - JULY 16, 2023
The summer board plan will be available for the duration of the Summer School term, from June 4 through July 16, 2023. The summer board fee for 2023 is $1205.55. The board plan is required for Summer School students who will live on campus. Students with summer jobs or internships may request the board plan via their summer housing application. Students with a summer job or internship who are living locally but not in University-managed housing (e.g. in a private rental, fraternity house, etc.) may request the board plan by emailing the Office of Residential Life.
