Residential Life oversees summer housing for all enrolled summer students and student workers. Summer housing is for current Sewanee undergraduates who are working, conducting research on campus, or enrolled in classes during the summer.

HOW TO APPLY
The summer housing application is available on Engage. Housing will be assigned based on the preferences submitted in the application, and space availability. Preference for specific amenities (e.g., air-conditioning, single rooms, etc.) is subject to availability and overall occupancy needs and cannot be guaranteed.
SUMMER PROCTOR OPPORTUNITY
Residential Life is hiring two types of Proctor roles for Summer 2025.
- Administrative Proctors: provide customer service, maintain office hours in the Office of Residential Life, and work on special projects for 2024-2025 including marketing planning.
- Community Building Proctors: develop a sense of belonging in the halls including planning engagement activities. Additionally, Community Building Proctors serve as a critical link between residents in their assigned area, the Hall Supervisor, and the Office of Residential Life.
This position is not available to students who are still in their first year. Priority will be given to applicants who have served as proctors previously.

SUMMER Meal PLAN
The summer meal plan will be available for the duration of the Summer School term. The summer meal fee for 2024 is $1,258.00. The board plan is required for Summer School students who will live on campus. Students with summer jobs or internships may request the board plan via their summer housing application. Students with a summer job or internship who are living locally but not in University-managed housing (e.g. in a private rental, fraternity house, etc.) may request the board plan by emailing the Office of Residential Life.
