Residential Life oversees summer housing for all enrolled summer students and student workers. Summer housing is for current Sewanee undergraduates who are working, conducting research on campus, or enrolled in classes during the summer.

SUMMER HOUSING PERIODS

Please note that there are different housing periods for summer school students and summer workers:

  • Summer school students may reside on campus from Sunday, June 7 through Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. Summer school students are those who are taking a class at Sewanee.

  • Summer workers may reside on campus from Friday, May 15 through Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 10 a.m. Summer workers include students employed by the University of the South, students employed by businesses on the Domain, SURF students, and international students participating in approved summer programs. 
HOUSING LOCATIONS

Summer housing will be located in St. Luke's Hall and McCrady Hall. Students will be assigned housing based on preference listed on the application and space availability.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for summer housing, please complete the Summer Housing Application Form. Summer Housing Application will be available by Monday, March 23, 2026. Please revisit this website or view the housing email to find the link.

Please note: Summer Housing Application will be due by Thursday, April 23, at 4:30 PM. Any late applications will be subject to a late application fee of up to $100 and could result in delayed billing information. Housing will be assigned based on the preference submitted in the application and space availability. Preference for specific amenities(e.g., air-conditioning, single rooms, etc.) is subject to availability and overall occupancy needs and cannot be guaranteed. 

SUMMER HOUSING RATES 

The pricing listed below remains the same for the entire summer, regardless of whether you are a summer school student or a summer worker.

  • Single Occupancy with Air Conditioning: $1,630.00

  • Double Occupancy with Air Conditioning: $1,230.00

  • Double Occupancy with No Air Conditioning:  $265.00
  • Rates for SURF students differ and will be shared directly with students in the program. 
Summer Meal Plan

  • Summer school students are required to have a meal plan.

  • Summer workers have the option to purchase a meal plan but are not required to do so.

  • The meal plan will be available only during summer school, from Sunday, June 7 to Saturday, July 18, 2026.

  • The meal plan cost is $1,360.49.
