Alcohol Skills Training Program (ASTP)
ASTP is a risk reduction intervention originally developed by the University of Washington to help students and young adults develop skills to either effectively resist using alcohol or limit their consumption of alcohol. ASTP aims to educate participants about alcohol-related behavior while increasing students' interest in critically examining their drinking patterns and implementing the skills they learn. As a result, students can minimize the potential negative consequences through prevention, reduced consumption, or abstinence.
