While you can always walk-in to the Writing Center to work with a tutor, it's a good idea to schedule an appointment with us so that you know someone will be available and that you will have enough time to work on your assignment together. This is especially helpful during busy times in the semester, like during midterms and finals.
In fact, you can make appointments for any week in the semester, so you can even go through your syllabus and make appointments for each of your major projects in a class at the beginning of the term. That way, you know you have a spot, and you will have a good reminder to start (or keep!) working on your paper before it is due.
You can make an appointment easily through our online scheduler.
The first time you sign in, you will need to register with whichever username and password you choose. To do this, click on the “register for a new account” link, located just above the log-in boxes.
Please note, this is not the same as your Banner or email password, unless you make it so. It’s also a good idea to bookmark this link for future use: https://sewanee.mywconline.com/
Once you register and log in, you can schedule appointments for up to an hour with any of our tutors. Simply click on an available space in the schedule, and fill out the form that appears. You will receive an email confirmation, which will include information about changing your appointment if necessary. You can also search for tutors and appointments for a given area of expertise by using the drop-down menu at the top of the schedule screen.
