The Student Title IX Advisory Committee is comprised of a diverse group of student leaders charged with advising the Title IX Coordinator and relevant stakeholders about the collective student body’s concerns, experiences, or suggestions on issues related to sexual misconduct.
Their purpose is to communicate with their peers the Sexual Misconduct Policy to create a more educated and aware student body. Additionally, the Committee will listen to the student body and address concerns with the administration to obtain any other necessary resources with the goal of creating a bridge for effective change.

HISTORY OF S.T.I.X & The meaning of the OFFICIAL S.T.i.X Logo
Click HERE for the History of STIX. The meaning of the STIX logo emerged from the education and training received by the first three classes of STIX members:
-
The scale at the top represents balance and justice for the student body in cases of sex discrimination.
-
The condom on the right represents the overarching goal of STIX, which is for students to elevate their knowledge in sex education.
-
The heart represents the duty of STIX to educate the student body on healthy relationships.
-
The gender symbols on the left represents the intent of STIX to not only educate, but to represent all Sewanee students, no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity.
