Students can submit work to be graded via Blackboard. As good pedagogical practice, consider incorporating low-stakes assessment opportunities, which provide valuable feedback to you and to the students. These low-stakes options allow both you and your students to become familiar with the technology as you transition to an online class presence.
For high-stakes assessment (exams), please use your judgment. Remind students that they must still adhere to the Honor Code, and be explicit about what that means for your class or discipline and in this online environment. Blackboard quizzes and exams can be available for certain amounts of time and adjusted for students who have accommodations. Consider whether other forms of summative assessments might be better than exams in this environment (e.g., presentations, untimed exams, papers, or other work).
