The University of the South provides one standard issue computer per employee (faculty and staff) according to the specifications below*. All secondary devices, lab hardware, or additional equipment must be approved by a supervisor and accompanied with an account number from your department.

If you are in need of technology and/or equipment beyond our standard issue, you should:

1. Contact your supervisor or department chair and make the request (with as much detail as possible) and,

2. The supervisor or department chair will contact our Help Desk with their department budget code to make the purchase.

By University policy, all computer-related purchases, including hardware, software, peripherals, etc., must go through the TAS (Technology Access & Support) department. TAS will communicate with supervisors and/or department chairs on a case by case basis.
