Trista and William Farrell, P'21, of Roanoke, Virginia, are this year's co-chairs of the Sewanee Parents' Council. Read their welcome letter.
Parents are are important partners for the University, not only in trusting Sewanee to deliver a great education for their students, but also in engaging with us at many levels.
All Sewanee parents (and parents of alumni) can serve as Sewanee ambassadors. By talking up Sewanee in your hometown, at area schools, camps and churches, you can help the University maintain a steady pipeline of top-notch applicants to the College. To contact someone at a University office, follow this link for helpful ways to make a connection or this link to become an alumni arcadian (admission volunteer). Parents can also support career efforts at the University by sponsoring internships and providing career support to our students. Follow this link to join the Career Center's alumni and parent group on LinkedIn. Of course, ensuring Sewanee’s “never-failing succession of benefactors” is also critical, and the Sewanee Parents’ Council helps with this important task while also providing support for Admissions and Career Center initiatives.
