The Sewanee Women's Alliance (SWA) Executive Board is responsible for developing scholarship fundraising strategies; guiding outreach to current and potential donors; coordinating membership events; and working with Sewanee's Office of Career Readiness to arrange mentorship opportunities, among other activities.

In collaboration with Sewanee's administrators, faculty, and staff, the Board aims to ensure the University attracts and retains high-caliber students who will move mountains as service-oriented leaders.

Executive Board

Sheryl Falk, C'89, Chair

Sheryl graduated from the University of the South in 1989 with a degree in political science. She obtained her law degree from University of Houston Law School and became a federal prosecutor, then a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP, where she led the global privacy and data security practice and created mentorship opportunities for women attorneys. After 30 years of legal practice, Sheryl joined Crowe LLP as a principal, and she now leads US Legal Consulting. In her spare time, Sheryl has traveled extensively and fostered a love of the outdoors that was first introduced during her time at Sewanee. Sheryl has climbed Mount Whitney, Mount Rainier, and Mount Kilimanjaro, and had other adventurous treks, including the Inca Trail and Tour de Mont Blanc. While preparing to trek to Everest base camp, she faced emergency surgery. Undeterred, she transformed her recovery into a rigorous training regimen, exhibiting the same grit and determination that has fueled her professional life, and she successfully made it to base camp. During her trek, she discovered a deeper purpose: to empower other women in law and encourage them to aspire for heights once thought unattainable.  Sheryl lives in Houston and shares her life’s adventures with her husband, Rick, and their two rescue cats, Romeo and Little Bit.

Lindsey Hollin, C'00, Vice-Chair

That led her to a position at the local college teaching criminal justice. After retiring from teaching at Alamo College, Lindsey began serving as the chief operating officer of JEHA Properties. All the while, she got her feet wet in board service in 2017 with Dress for Success San Antonio. Most recently, she joined both the Alameda Theater Conservancy Board and the San Antonio River Foundation. She enjoys bringing people together to talk about the nonprofits she supports. Lindsey currently works in Fredericksburg, Texas.
