The Investigations Division is responsible for investigating all crimes that cannot be cleared on the patrol level. The criminal investigators are responsible for investigating all crimes on or off campus. The investigators are on call 24/7 to investigate any case that requires technical and advanced crime detection methods.
The criminal investigators are trained in drug investigations, sex assault investigations, collection of evidence and the preservation of crime scenes, and investigations of thefts, burglary, and frauds. The criminal investigations unit also investigates all felonies that are not cleared on the patrol level.
If you have been a victim of a crime or a witness to a crime you will be contacted by an investigator assigned to the case for follow up investigations. This is normal and routine work that is carried out by our investigators to build the strongest case possible and come to a successful resolution in your case.
