Ice and Snow Response
During snow and ice events, Facilities Management will work diligently to keep the University safe and operational. While we always strive to provide both pedestrian and vehicular access by 7 a.m., our ability to respond may be limited in the event of a severe storm.
Priority will be given to clearing a comprehensive pedestrian route through campus, entrances to buildings, and key parking lots. Due to the residential nature of the campus, the following parking lots will be cleared first for commuting faculty and staff members: duPont Library, Fulford Hall, Gailor Hall, and Hamilton Hall for the School of Theology. It is also important to note that while the Franklin County Highway Department is responsible for clearing all county roads, Facilities Management will assist, but only as time allows.
