You can use Zoom for this style of class as well, using its breakout room feature. You can divide your class into smaller groups and then reconvene. Think about how you will share the instructions for the group discussions. Will you post those instructions on Blackboard? Share them on the screen within Zoom? You have a variety of options available for you to play with. Synchronous instruction can be daunting, especially in the moment. Be sure to reach out to our faculty support staff with any additional training, help, or practice you may want to do with these Zoom tools.
Students can also present in Zoom and use screen-sharing. Be aware that your grading rubric might need to be adjusted to this new presentation method.
