MLK DAY OF SERVICE, 2024 (Moved to FEB 3rd)

9:00 AM
Fowler Center (Wavier Required)

THEME | IT STARTS WITH ME: Shifting the Cultural Climate through the study and practice of Kingian nonviolence.

The Sewanee MLK Day of Service is a nationally themed annual campus-wide program that seeks honor our shared value of community while reflecting on the dream of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Gather in the Fowler Center for a community brunch at 9 a.m. followed by the service project at 10:30 a.m. In partnership with " Sleep in Heavenly Peace." Our service project brings us together to work to build beds for children in our community who otherwise would not have a bed in which to sleep. While this is a national organization, all of the beds we build together will stay in our local community.
