All Saints' Chapel hosts worship out of the Episcopal tradition throughout the week and is open each day for personal prayer and contemplation, including a dedicated quiet hour each weekday at noon.

Presiding Bishop to preach

January 26

We are delighted to report that the Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, The Most Rev. Sean Rowe, will be in Sewanee next weekend. He will preach at our 8 a.m. Rite 1 Holy Eucharist and at our 11 a.m. Rite 2 Holy Eucharist on Sunday, Jan. 26. Chancellor Owensby will be the presider that day for both services. Following the 11 a.m. Eucharist, all are invited for coffee and tea in Convocation Hall.

There will also be a panel discussion open to the entire Sewanee community in Convocation Hall on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. featuring Presiding Bishop Rowe, Chancellor Owensby, and Vice Chancellor Pearigen.

Meditation Chapel

This side chapel within All Saints' is intentionally flexible so that it can be used for a variety of religious practices, from Christian contemplation, to Jummah prayers, to Buddhist or mindfulness meditation.  In it, you'll find prayer rugs, meditation stools and pillows, and an icon created for the space by Ethiopian iconographer Gebre Merha.
