DanceWise: Mystique is the annual departmental dance concert presented by Theatre and Dance, featuring choreography and performances by faculty, students, and guest artists.
In Mystique, choreographers explore the indescribable, ephemeral, even magical realm of possibility in their dances, taking us beyond what is understood or universally held as true. Join us in experiencing the potential of dance to transcend language and tangible experiences as we embrace the world of imagination where everything is not as it seems.
The performance will open with guest choreographer Noelia Garcia Carmona's new modern-flamenco fusion dance which will be performed by students. Guest performer Jenny Ramos will appear in a violin-tap duet with Courtney World. Additional styles include contemporary/modern, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary Paraguayan.
