Located on the second floor of DuPont Library, the William Ralston Listening Library is a state-of-the-art facility holding over 15,000 LPs and 20,000 compact discs, as well as rare scores and books about music. The listening room is equipped with high-fidelity streaming utilizing Qobuz and TIDAL through Roon. During your visit, you'll likely hear your favorite music like you've never heard it before.
Sewanee fields 24 intercollegiate varsity teams, is a member of the NCAA Division III, and competes in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). Over 30 percent of the student body competes at the varsity level. Whether you're cheering the Tigers on to victory on the court, the field, or the pitch, don't forget to yell "Yea, Sewanee's Right!"

The Course at Sewanee was renovated by Gil Hanse in 2013; Golf magazine's 2009 Architect of the Year. Complemented by the Sewanee Inn and a newly completed golf lodge, golfers and even those just out for a stroll are in for a treat.
Known for its naturally-occurring subterranean amphitheater, The Caverns is a unique music venue situated at the base of the Cumberland Plateau in the Pelham Valley. This underground venue offers a one-of-a-kind experience for music enthusiasts. The Caverns is also open seven days a week for cave tours.
Visiting the Mountain is incomplete without a visit the Sewanee Village. Locally owned restaurants and shops, outdoor concerts and events, as well as the University Bookstore are all right here. Support these business by shopping local!
The Domain is home to more than 50 miles of hiking trails. The signature Perimeter Trail, is a 20-mile loop that circles much of the Domain and provides a hiking experience unparalleled anywhere else in the region. With 13,000 acres, there are plenty to chose from, check out a few of our favorite hikes.
Lake Cheston is a favorite spot among students for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. If you'd rather sty on dry land, walk the trail that loops around the lake or relax on the beach.

Some might argue that a trip to Sewanee isn't complete without a visit to one of Sewanee's impressive overlooks. Green's View, the Memorial Cross, and Morgan's Steep, offer stunning views of the valley. You won't want to miss these spectacular views. Pick up a directional card in the Office of Admission.
Sustainability is a way of life at Sewanee. At the University Farm, you'll find high-tunnel greenhouses that house an organic garden and an aquaponic project, a flock of laying hens, beehives, and a herd of goats. It's a 15-minute walk from central campus–or 10 if you're hungry.
With multiple entry points along University Avenue, Abbo's Alley offers a picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll. Walk along a creek, and discover bridges, a wooden gazebo, and an inlaid labyrinth. Stop by the Office of Admission for directions!
Sewanee provides funding for an approved summer internship or research fellowship, a semester-long study abroad opportunity at no additional tuition cost, and the ability to graduate with one major in four years. Of course, you will have to do your part. If you meet Sewanee’s academic and social expectations, these opportunities will be provided.
